On April 12, 2023, in Seoul, Korea, an IP seminar organized by the KEA (Korea Electronics Association) was held on the theme “Japanese Patent Application, Appeals, Litigation and Standard Patent License Negotiations.”

Our attorneys, Mr. Atsushi Nagano and Ms. Naoko Nakao of our Chemistry/Biotechnology Div. and Mr. Takafumi Kaji of our 1st Electrical/Information Div., served as a speaker.

Mr. Nagano and Ms. Nakao delivered a lecture on the subject “Trends and Countermeasures for Patent Applications and Examinations in Japan,” and Mr. Kaji delivered a lecture on the subject “Commentary on the Guidance on License Negotiations for Standard Essential Patents.”
