On July 8, 2021, we held an online seminar on the subject “Updates of the Guidelines for Examination in the EPO 2021” for our clients.

Recently, the number of patent applications filed in Europe under the European Patent Convention (EPC) has been on the rise, and there has been a lot of interest in obtaining patent rights in Europe.

We invited Dr. Naho Fujimoto, Partner, German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney of Maiwald Patentanwalts- und Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, as the lecturer for this online seminar, to explain the revisions of the examination guidelines for European patent applications.
