On July 31, 2018, in Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing, a seminar co-organized by China Intellectual Property Training Center and China Science Patent & Trademark Agent Ltd. was held under the theme “Study Group for Highly Valued Intellectual Property (Japan-China exchanges at the level of practice)).

President Mr. Yoshitake Kihara delivered a lecture on the subject “Toward strategic utilization of the Japanese patent system” about the latest situation regarding the trend of patents in Japan and approaches for obtaining globally strong, stable, and highly valued patent rights, and Mr. Koji Nakata, patent attorney and Deputy Manager of the 2nd Electrical/Information Division also delivered a lecture on the subject “a proposal for increasing the values of AI/IoT related inventions” about strategies for acquiring highly valued patents in the field.

At this seminar, other than Mr. Kihara and Mr. Nakata, Chinese lecturers, including Mr. Jiquan SUN, an attorney at law of China Science Patent & Trademark Agent Ltd., who delivered a lecture with the topic “Points to pay attention in preparing specifications to obtain highly valued patents, and cases thereof,” delivered lectures, followed by a lively question and answer session.
