Our attorney attended the SCT as the JPAA observer
The 39th session of the SCT (Standing Committee on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications) was held in Geneva at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on April 23-26, 2018.
Ms. Miki Tomii, Divisional Manager of the Trademark/Law Division attended the aforesaid meeting as one of the representative observers of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA).
At the meeting, development of an international framework regarding the protection of country names and geographical indications were mainly discussed.
